BOXCRYPTOR 2.0 UPGRADE
Companies and teams starting at 5 users also have the option to upgrade to a special company package (starting at US $ 8/user/month). Now you have the opportunity to prove your identity via your USB port and without a second device running. Until now, to use 2FA, you needed a second device (such as a smartphone) with an authenticator app. file name encryption) can upgrade to an Unlimited Personal license (US $44.99/year) or an Unlimited Business license (US-$ 99.99/year) for business use. Boxcryptor has been offering 2-factor authentication (2FA) for a longer period of time, to help you protect your Boxcryptor account better. Those who want to benefit from all features (e.g. The OS X version will be ready in a few weeks.Īlso with the 2.0 version, private users can start with a free version.
BOXCRYPTOR 2.0 ANDROID
The new Boxcryptor generation is now available in six languages for Windows, Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad). Any information they receive from users is always encrypted and protected by the user’s password which is kept secret and never leaves the user’s device nor is transferred to anyone. This is especially important for teams in business environments and for private users who want to securely share access to files without having to reveal their private passwords.īoxcryptor will remain a zero knowledge provider and does not have access to the user’s information or the user’s private keys. The new version includes increased usability as well as features for secure collaboration. They are simply not shown in the drop down lists in Macrium.Boxcryptor, the cloud-optimized encryption software, has been updated to version 2.0. Either way, I can never select one of the virtual drives for source or destination with any type of Macrium backup. I installed Boxcryptor 2.1 to see if that would make a difference, but it does not.

Did you link yours to an actual cloud account? I installed classic with all the default settings and linked it to my Dropbox and Strato Hidrive account. Please check which version of BC you installed as the new version is NOT as desirable due to BC storing the encryption keys vs the user in Classic.
BOXCRYPTOR 2.0 PRO
I have been using a program called Syncback pro to automatically sync my documents with my Boxcryptor Z: drive and it works perfectly. Can you see that from within the Macrium source/ destination window as I cannot on mine. I also see on your screen shot that the BC drive X: is showing on your network. You have to make sure you are always working in the BC virtual drive in my case Z: and not in the Dropbox /boxcryptor folder for files to be encrypted. Classic vs 2.0? Normally, people will use BC with Dropbox to encrypt their files before uploading to the Dropbox site. Some differences between the two are where the encryption keys are stored and you can pick and choose which files and folders to encrypt in 2.0 drive vs Classic everything you drop into the drive is encrypted.
BOXCRYPTOR 2.0 WINDOWS 8.1
I do not believe it would make a difference as they both create virtual drives, but I am using 'Classic' on a Windows 8.1 laptop. Great follow up- thank you! Boxcryptor has two versions: Classic and the new 2.0 just called 'Boxcryptor'. If I am misunderstanding your use case or you are having different results to me, please respond with as much additional information as possible. Reflect allowed me to set the destination as the named location-directory under X:\, and I could also set it to that same monitored directory on the desktop, both of which would have Boxcrypter encrypt/sync those files.

In my test setup, Boxcrypter was monitoring a "location" directory on my desktop, and had the virtual drive mapped to X.
BOXCRYPTOR 2.0 SOFTWARE
Boxcrypter seems to work similarly to other software in this area using the virtual drive it creates as the destination drive for your Reflect backup files should work fine. We were not aware of the software you mentioned, but I have just installed the free version of it to test this scenario.

EncFS Java: LGPL (Source) Sardine: Apache 2.0 Apache http components: Apache 2.0. The problem is I can never see any of my mounted drives In the destination (or source for that matter) when I try to create a file and folder backup. Also (partly) compatible with encfs / boxcryptor (classic) volumes. I would like to make different Windows system (8.1) backups as well as folder backups to this drive when it is mounted.

I use this drive to encrypt files before uploading to different cloud storage sites. I am trying to make a backup of My Documents to a mounted virtual drive created by Boxcryptor.
